Carbon trading in Russia

Carbon trading is a term mentioned in the hallowed corridors of the UN and the EU, by important people who seem to look as though they know what they are doing. But what exactly is carbon trading, and what has it got to do with Russia? Is the world, and in particular Russia benefitting from carbon trading?

To help answer these questions, I have in the studio Sergei Sitnikov, a counsel at Baker & McKenzie here in Moscow, and on the line from London, Ingo Ramming, the Executive Director of Carbon Trade and Finance, which is a joint venture between Gazprombank and Commerzbank.
